Welcome to Mazza Vineyards
Nestled along the shores of Pennsylvania’s Lake Erie Wine Country, Mazza Vineyards invites you to share a truly enjoyable winemaking and tasting experience. A scenic drive to the winery along East Lake Road (Route 5) will lead you through mile after mile of vineyard. It is from these vineyards that we choose the wine grape varieties to produce our award winning wines.
Experience the art of fine winemaking…
Once at the winery, guided tours of our wine cellars show the great care we exercise in making our wines. From grape selection at harvest time, through crushing, pressing, fermentation, aging and bottling. You will learn about the entire winemaking process and the delicate decisions of the wine master as he blends modern science with his ancient art.
...and wine appreciation too.
Each tour of our winery concludes with a stop in our wine-tasting room where you will leisurely sip a sampling of wines from the Mazza Vineyards cellars. Good wines should please the senses of sight, smell and touch as well as taste. Your guide will show you how, and encourage you to use these senses in enjoying our wines.

Historic Wine Cellar Re-Opens
September 2007 marked the re-establishment of the South Shore Wine Company located on Route 89 just north of North East. Originally established in 1864, it was Erie County’s first commercial winery. The Mazza family welcomes you to our newest location and invites you to sample a unique array of wines produced under the South Shore Wine Company label. You’ll enjoy tasting in the historic stone cellar and browsing the shelves in the spectacular arched stone cavern - both original to the 1864 winery!
